    Family Separation Agreements

Florida does not have such a thing as a “Legal Separation.”  It does, however, have a law that allow married people to maintain an action for “spousal; support” (alimony) while remaining married.

There is a similar provision that allows for parents to file a claim for child support and custody (“time-sharing”) without obtaining a divorce.  Many property issues between spouses may also be resolved without the necessity of a divorce.

We work with our clients who are not ready to get divorced to pursue the certainty they and their children need, without the finality of a divorce when desired.
