    Tami Dacey, Attorney
    Tami Dacey

Tami Dacey has a lifelong attachment to Central Florida, as her extended family established roots here in the early 1960s. While her formative years were spent in Connecticut, Tami returned to Orange County and attended West Orange High School in Winter Garden, completing her childhood education as a proud member of the first graduating class of Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando. After spending five chilly years attending Syracuse University in upstate New York, Tami once again returned to sunny Central Florida and went on to earn her master’s degree in education from the University of Central Florida.

Eventually, Tami’s love of history, government, and law won out, and she attended evening classes at Barry University, School of Law in Orlando, while continuing her teaching career and raising her three teenagers. While attending Barry, she became a senior editor on the Environmental Law Journal, studied law abroad in Spain, and won honorable mention arguing in the Moot Court Competition. Tami worked as an intern and law clerk in the areas of estate planning, workers compensation, and family law, finally finding her home at Sikes Law Group in 2022. Tami was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2024, realizing her dream of becoming an attorney.

On a personal note, Tami purchased her first home in Winter Garden in 1999 and never intends to leave this great little city! She has raised her three children, Nate, Alex, and Erin, here and is extremely proud of the intelligent, caring human beings they have become. Tami married her college sweetheart, Steve, n 2022, and loves to tell people they dated “on and off” for 30 years, with a 20-year break in the middle. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Winter Garden, is a
Board Member for West Orange Habitat for Humanity, and supports local charities and non-profit organizations such as Autism Speaks of Central Florida, and Happy Homes Pet Rescue.
